AI Ethics for Students
How do we teach students about the ethics of GenAI? In this session we will explore the need for proactive discussions with students about their AI usage. From elementary to secondary, all students need honest conversations about the limits of AI and the effects it can have on their learning and mental health. This session is meant for any educator who is ready to be honest with students and guide them to take responsibility for their own learning.

AI Literacy Starts Here
AI tools are already in your students' hands — the question is whether they can evaluate, question, and use them wisely. This session introduces a proven framework for embedding AI literacy into 9th grade English classrooms, drawing on results from an Intro to AI course taught at ATI-UMW and grounded in university-level experience at UMW. The curriculum has been developed for direct integration into Stafford County 9th grade English classes beginning next year. Participants will see how argumentation skills — claim, evidence, and reasoning — translate into habits for critically assessing AI-generated content.

Designed for school-based and central office administrators, this session explores how Artificial Intelligence can automate high-volume tasks like lesson plan reviews, discipline tracking, and data synthesis. Join us for an interactive exploration of how robotics, physical computing, and AI intersect to elevate STEM excellence. This session is designed for educators who are ready to bring tangible AI experiences into their classrooms.

Photon Robots: Experience a dedicated AI curriculum that teaches students how robots "see," "hear," and "think."

What to Expect:
The heart of this session is discovery. After a brief demonstration, you’ll have dedicated "sandbox time" to rotate through stations, test the hardware, and brainstorm how these tools can be integrated into your specific grade level or content area.

This session explores how principals and assistant principals can use AI to improve efficiency, strengthen instructional leadership, and support daily school operations. Participants will examine practical applications such as drafting communication, organizing information, analyzing trends, supporting feedback and professional learning, and improving planning and prioritization. The session will also address responsible AI use, including ethics, accuracy, privacy, and transparency, while providing leaders with practical strategies they can apply in their schools.

Little Learners, Big Thinking; Building AI Readiness in Grades K-2
Empower K-2 learners for an AI-driven future through digital literacy and computer science standards. This session supports our Strategic Plan’s goal of nurturing future-ready learners by shifting students from passive consumers to informed creators. School leaders will explore and discuss interdisciplinary strategies, from "unplugged" algorithmic thinking activities to free tools for pattern recognition across Math, ELA, and Science curricula. Participants will leave with unplugged lesson ideas to support teachers in building foundational AI literacy in early elementary settings.

Making Differentiation Scalable by School AI
Differentiation and personalized learning have long been goals in K–12 education—but for most teachers, they remain difficult to implement consistently at scale. This session explores how AI can help make differentiation both practical and sustainable without adding to teacher workload.

Participants will see how educators can start with a single lesson and quickly generate multiple pathways for students based on readiness, interests, and learning needs. Through real classroom examples, we will demonstrate how AI can support planning, create targeted instructional materials, and provide actionable insights that help teachers respond to student learning in real time.
